How the Right Prosthetic Components Support Digital Workflows: Insights from Andrey Bachmago

On October 15, ReplicaDent supported the CAPP webinar “Roadmap to Successful Treatment Using 3D Technologies,” led by Andrey Bachmago, a dental technician and digital dentistry educator with over a decade of experience.

Ahead of the webinar, we had asked Andrey how the right prosthetic components supported his digital dentistry workflow. In his view, they help translate digital plans into accurate restorations by ensuring proper fit, offering flexibility in component selection, and supporting precision throughout the laboratory workflow.

In his daily work, Andrey uses two ReplicaDent solutions that he finds particularly useful.

MUA Try-In Libraries
Integrated into the exocad implant library structure, the libraries allow Andrey to evaluate multi-unit abutments together with the prosthetic components placed on top, with options for different angulations and heights. “This is especially useful when working with restorations that require adjustments to occlusal height,” he explains.

Protective Caps
“Rather than repurposing old implant analogs that may have surface imperfections or deformation from previous use, I see Protective Caps as a practical and accessible alternative for safeguarding Ti-Bases and abutments during polishing,” says Andrey. According to him, they are particularly useful when manufacturing titanium bars, where protecting component seating areas is important. His recommendation is simple: “Buy them in bulk — you’ll always need them!”

At ReplicaDent, we support educational initiatives that help clinicians and dental technicians build efficient, predictable digital workflows.

Thank you Andrey, CAPP, and everyone who joined the webinar.
